New and Exciting Changes

Hope you all like the new blog design.  There have been a lot of changes around here so we're hoping to give you an update.  Lucy Kathleen's blog has now been changed to The Finglands, as we are expecting Fingland baby #2 this February 4th!  Like we did with Lucy, we'd love to try and keep you guys informed with some pictures and stories of this little one's pregnancy and more.  We love having the blog posts from that time with Lucy, and it was a great way to create a "baby book" and keep family and friends who are interested in the loop.  However,  I say try because life is pretty crazy around here with Lucy starting preschool and me going back to work.  Hopefully we can at least get down all the moments and memories we want to keep of this special time.  I will email out when I update, which will hopefully be weekly to monthly at least.  Thanks for sharing the excitement with us and we can't wait to meet this new little one!

The First Trimester
So glad that the first trimester is far behind us.  It was a rough one with this babe--lots of food aversions, some throwing up, and lots of nausea.  It didn't make for the most fun , but we were very busy this summer so it helped make the time pass by faster!  Luckily the second trimester has me feeling more energetic and less nauseousness, but we've been hit with some other illness instead.  Ready for a healthy fall...fingers crossed!

12 Week Ultrasound pictures:
Heartbeat: 170bpm
Special Notes:  We did our genetic testing at this ultrasound, and it took about 20 minutes for the tech to get the measurement down.  Baby #2 was literally pushing off the walls and jumping the entire time!

Telling Lucy:  We told Lucy she was going to be a big sister on Friday, August 22nd.  She had already been saying things all summer like "Your belly is getting big.  Is there a tiny baby in there?" so it was fun to finally spill the beans.  She immediately was excited and wanted to buy the baby a blanket and stuffed animal.  And, being protective said "the baby will need to sleep in my crib so she doesn't fall out and get hurt."  After seeing the ultrasound (black and white) pictures, she cracked us up by asking "Is the baby going to come out black?"  She has been so sweet and gives baby hugs, cuddles, and waves goodbye to it in the window every morning when I leave for work.

Next up...
Our big gender ultrasound is scheduled for Friday, September 19th and Lucy gets to come with us.  We are all so excited and have a paper chain countdown with pink and blue paper going on!  Lucy says it's a girl, Bryan says it's a girl, and my hormones change my mind daily :)

17 week bump:

Lots of love,
The super excited Finglands
