Lucy's One! (Part 1)

Our baby girl is one! We are so excited and have been so blessed with a healthy, happy girl.
Here's the scoop with what's she's been up to this month, and how we celebrated her birthday. I'll post again after she has her big girl birthday party next week too!

*12 Month Firsts: sledding in our 15 inch snowstorm, standing on her own (February 9th and no turning back!), first Valentine's day, waving hi and bye, a 2nd tooth (with a new one somewhere close behind), big girl bath time and loving it, taking her first steps (starting February 28th), first ice cream cone from Sweet Action, and starting whole milk--still mixed with formula as of now. What a month!

*12 Month Likes: reading, reading, and oh, did we mention reading!? playing with Bailey and handing her toys, climbing in/out of and playing in the sun room, eating (yes, she's a great eater), hanging out on the stairs, chatting away in the car.

*Birthday Celebration: Lucy turned one on Saturday, March 3rd. She had Grandma and Papa as her special guests to help celebrate. Daddy made pancakes for her breakfast and she loved them! Before her nap she opened a couple presents. After a quick nap, she got to open more presents, decked out in her birthday tutu. She got lots of fun stuff and has loved playing with her new toys/books! We met some friends for her first ice cream cone at Sweet Action (cinnamon almond, yum!) and she was trying to steal it all from Daddy. Overall, it was a day filled with fun and love, and celebrating our special girl. (Oh, and since our car died earlier in the week, Lucy also got a new car for her birthday :)!) We ended her birthday weekend with a 1 year photo shoot. I uploaded those photos to a separate album, so there are 2 albums this month.

It was so fun celebrating every minute with Lucy. She is so special to us, and makes our lives so much brighter. We can't believe a year's gone by, but we are looking forward to all the new possibilities and milestones that are to come!

I'll post about her party and photos from the bash next week! It will be fun to celebrate with friends and family. Hope you all are doing great.
