Happy Spring!
We've been busy lately chasing around our walking 1 year old. The past month has been lots of fun, especially since we have been showered with an early and beautiful Spring. (March is usually our snowiest month!)
13 Month old firsts: Lucy started walking right after her 1st birthday, even though she was taking a few steps before then. It seemed to click and she has been getting better everyday. Also, now that she is a year old, she can eat everything! And she loves everything! She did have an allergic reaction to strawberries though, so we have to wait a while until she can try those again. After her first birthday, we got rid of all bottles and started the hunt for the perfect sippy cup. Although she will finally drink from 2 of them (she did go on a drink strike for a while), she still won't drink milk from them. Our doctor is ok with it though, as long as she eats well--and boy does she! She has a new favorite word..."OK" and loves repeating it over and over again, but we still think it's adorable every time. She's still repeating sounds and thinks it's funny when we whisper to her. We have alphabet flashcards and she has tried making the s sound for snake and the z sound for zebra. It's too cute to watch her tounge as she does the sounds. Finally, Lucy got her 3rd tooth while hanging out with me over Spring Break.
13 Month Likes/Dislikes: Lucy loves taking walks, especially while holding your hand. She also loves trying to go up stairs like a normal person, with the help of your hand though. Playing at the park is a staple every weekend, and we are lucky to have a cool park really close by the house. She has mastered going down the slide by herself now. Another like, EATING. I really cannot stress enough how much this girl eats...growth spurt maybe? Walking/trying to run after Bailey and doing laps around the house all while squealing, wearing her new shoes, singing, and brushing her teeth are all likes at this time as well. Dislikes? When we stop her from doing all of the above. She's getting better at telling us what she doesn't like!
Happy Easter! Lucy had a fun visitor for Easter besides the Easter bunny--Aunt Blair! We had lots of fun going to church, having an Easter egg hunt in the front yard, discovering her Easter basket, brunch, and the park and ice cream in the afternoon! It was a beautiful and blessed day and we were glad we all got to spend it together and that Aunt Blair could join us.
Sorry for the delay on this post! I added some videos to this month's photo album to make it up to you. Enjoy: 13 Month Album
Love,
