Hello all! Here's what's new around the Fingland house.
14 Month Firsts: first walking wound, a 4th bottom tooth (still none up top though), new "words"--'doggie', 'Bry' (oops, sorry Daddy, she's been listening to me call you too much!), 'hi', 'shoes', and 'ok'; starting to feed herself with her spoon even if she's a bit messy, nodding her head 'yes' (it's adorable), pointing out face features (she has nose and cheek down), saying "shhh" and putting her finger on her lips when we try to sneak downstairs to get Bailey out of her crate, and understanding and responding to questions we ask her (gets a book when we ask, helps us close doors, etc.)
14 Month Likes: reading (favorite books this month include "Moo Baa La La La" and "The Monster at the End of This Book"), playing in her new toy car we picked up at a garage sale--she's obsessed with these at daycare, pointing/looking at flowers, being outside, taking walks, helping with everything we're doing--she's one busy girl!
The past month has been so much fun. Lucy is at such a great age where she is exploring everything and loving life. She is so full of joy and an adventurous big girl. While her personality is happy and bright, she still has her moments. She has learned (who knows from where) how to start throwing some tantrums. Her favorite moves: arms in the air going stiff as a board so it's hard to pick her up, stomping her feet, and trying to run away from us if we are going to take her up to bed or change her diaper or make her stop doing whatever she's doing! It is really hard not to laugh at her while trying to tell her no, since she scrunches up her face and puts that cute smile on--all the while doing the behavior we're trying to stop her from doing.
Enjoy the new pictures. Sorry for the lack of pictures this month, but we did have more videos so you can watch her cuteness in action.
Love,
The Finglands

"A cow says 'moo.' A sheep says 'baa.'" James loves Moo Baa La La La... I always sing the title like it's a Lady Ga Ga song.
How adorable that Lucy can actually do things you ask, and she knows words. WOW! The part about her running away when you try to take her to bed? HILARIOUS! I'll have to check out the videos, but if it's not included, I would love one of that.
So happy to hear life is good in Colorado. We miss you guys!
