First Beach Trip!

We headed to the beach this past week for Lucy's first sandy trip!  Overall, she absolutely loved it!  She tried running to the ocean many times, and spent hours digging in the sand.  We spent the week in Carillon Beach, Florida (near Panama City Beach) with my side of the family.  3 Aunts, 3 Uncles, 8 cousins, and Nana and Poppe played and relaxed with us beach side.  It was a great time and we look forward to the next one!

Lucy's Beach/Vacation Likes:  snack time at the beach, running into the ocean then running out again, giving out kissies to all who saw her making the infamous kissy lips, digging in the sand, tasting the saltwater, pointing to the birds flying and shouting "dog" (we need to brush up on her animal vocab), coloring (especially in the airport/airplane), splashing at the pool and going under, playing ball, sleeping in the bathroom (yes, Lucy's crib was set up in our large bathroom--due to the darkness and exhaust fan as white noise!), playing with her cousins, and rice and beans--she ate them all week long.  Looks like someone wants a burrito bowl next time we hit up Chipotle.

Lucy's Beach/Vacation Dislikes: putting on sunscreen (though a major necessity for our fair skinned lady), too many new faces at once--although she warmed up pretty easily when there were smaller groups, when the stewardesses made her put her tray table upright and locked during landing/taking off,  not having Bailey around to clean up her food messes--or wait, that was Bryan and I.

The last day we were there, Friday, Lucy started pulling on her ears.  Unfortunately as time went on and we traveled home, it got worse and now she is nursing a double ear infection.  But it was a great trip and she is on some medicine and on the mend.  Hope the summer is going well for all of you!
